Born in 1960 in Tehran, Anahita Tahery moved to London to study Art in 1978.
From 1981 to 1991 she studied at Sir John Cass school of Art, Morley College of Art, Central London Institute and Chelsea School of Art.
In 1992 she moved to Bruzella a small village in the Swiss Alps.
From 2000 to 2006 she has studied with Maestro Mohammad Reza Lotfi the art of tradition persian singing based on sufi poetry. Her life and work has been infuenced by Indian, Buddhist and Iranian Sufi philosophies.
